Trapping
Our trapping method is our GO TO METHOD. Our services include 3 visits. On our initial visit we will set traps out in strategic areas. Mainly focusing on the newest activity. Traps are set underground into the Gopher tunnel systems. On our second visit we will check the traps and remove the Gophers. If activity is still present, we will reset our traps on the new activity. The third visit will include removal of the traps and Gophers.

Gopher Baiting
Even though Gopher Wars limits the use of Strychnine we find it is needed in some situations. Gopher baiting consists of three visits. On our initial visit we will introduce Gopher bait into the Gophers tunnel system. This is done by using a probing device that drops a small amount of bait into the tunnel. Second and third visits will be treat as needed. We can only use bait if we see new activity. This treatment also comes with a 15-day warranty after the third visit. With Gopher baiting we must be sure that your pets will be safe during the process. This will be for us to determine.
Monthly Services
Because we know how Gopher's work in some cases you may need an ongoing monthly service to continue to control your situation. Depending on the amount of activity, size of property, surrounding areas or how long you let it go we can't guarantee new Gophers will reuse the existing tunnel systems on your property. Monthly services include one scheduled visit per month with free reservices if you should see new activity in the warrantied areas. We usually will get to you within 2 days. With our monthly Gopher service removal of webs from your home is included with every monthly visit. You can also add general pest control for a minimal fee. WE NEVER MAKE YOU SIGN A CONTRACT. Gophers are small, burrowing animals about five to seven inches long with an average weight of 8 ounces. Powerfully built in the forequarters, their front feet have long, sharp claws. Gophers have brownish soft fur, large cheek pouches and flattened heads with small ears and eyes. Their hairy tails are about four inches long, and are used to navigate through tunnels when moving backwards.

A good way to determine if a Gopher is present is by mounds of dirt on the surface of the ground. These mounds are created as a Gopher tunnels through the soil with it's powerful front legs in search of food. As it bulldozes ahead, the Gopher pushes the loose earth to the surface and out of the tunnel, creating a fan-shaped mound. Gophers are capable of creating several mounds per day, especially when the soil is moist and easy to dig through.
While Gopher tunnels tend to be much less extensive than mole tunnels, Gopher tunnels are typically larger in diameter and tend to be deeper. And, unlike mole tunnels, Gopher tunnels are generally not visible above ground due to their deeper location.

Pocket Gophers are solitary outside of breeding season, aggressively maintaining their territory. A litter can contain up to five young. Average lifespan is 1-3 years. Gophers consume about 60% of their bodyweight in vegetation each day. They are strict herbivores that typically feed on the roots and fleshy parts of plants.They prefer vegetation such as grass, shrubs, roots, seedlings, trees, flower bulbs, palms and more.

Their days are spent creating extensive networks of subterranean tunnels, referred to as Gopher towns, in a never-ending search of food. The end result of this constant digging? "Secondary poisoning " happens when another organism comes into contact with or ingests another organism that has poison in its system. It typically occurs when a predator eats an animal, such as a Gopher, that has previously been poisoned by a commercial pesticide. Gopher baits with the active ingredient Strychnine are an example of these types of products.
**PRESENTLY THERE IS NO ANTIDOTE FOR STRYCHNINE POISONING**
Even though we limit the use of these products, Gopher Wars may choose to use these products in certain situations when and where needed. When we choose to use these products, they are used with extreme caution, and YOU will always know when they are applied.
