At Gopher Wars our main goal is to keep you, your family, pets and the environment safe, during and after our applications. It is very important to focus on control of the TARGET PEST. That is why we limit the use of materials that can potentially cause "secondary poisoning" to a Non-Target Species.
"Secondary poisoning " happens when another organism comes into contact with or ingests another organism that has poison in its system. It typically occurs when a predator eats an animal, such as a Gopher, that has previously been poisoned by a commercial pesticide. Gopher baits with the active ingredient Strychnine are an example of these types of products.
**PRESENTLY THERE IS NO ANTIDOTE FOR STRYCHNINE POISONING**
Even though we limit the use of these products, Gopher Wars may choose to use these products in certain situations when and where needed. When we choose to use these products, they are used with extreme caution, and YOU will always know when they are applied.
